Zine: Wonder why you haven't been getting your mailorders recently? I got married, and then I went on a honeymoon to Vietnam and Bali. I'm back now, I'll be sending out your orders and rocking out in my own band soon. I've always had a blog, I just don't want to call it that. Blog is a lame word for it. This is the 5th album by The Unit Breed, and it showcases the bizarre brilliance of the band. "Lost Eyes" is 55 minutes of unsettling, dark music. The DVD contains a movie version of the CD. It's a work of unacknowledged genius, and has moments reminiscent of Sonic Youth or Fugazi, but remains unique and uncategorizable. Featured Releases: Plan B - Picturesque This is the first release for western Mass pop-punk band Sonny (or Plan B as they were known on this CD). This band has released a full length on Fast Music and a split with Modern Day Saint on Fork In Hand but "Picturesque" is the CD that started it all. If you like emotionally charge pop-punk you'll like this band. Listen: it's never too late Add to cart S.O.D. / Yellow Machine Gun - Seasoning the Obese split EP Storm Troopers of Death doing what they do so well. On yellow vinyl, so you know you have to have it. The other side is Yellow Machine Gun, my new favorite all-female japanese hardcore band. Add to cart Organic - The Life and Times of Sal Sagev Organic take the early-90's approach to gruff punk rock. At first blush, it sounds like a less well-recorded and ambitious American Steel. Luckily, there are some divergences from the formula, including a violin on one track that are pretty good. If you like the Insurgent or American Steel, this might be up your alley. One complaint. Why oh why can't bands learn how to spell. I mean, it's really not that hard, and you're paying someone to print up 1,000 CD booklets that conclusively prove you haven't yet mastered the English language? Argh.
