Wonder why you haven't been getting your mailorders recently? I got married, and then I went on a honeymoon to Vietnam and Bali. I'm back now, I'll be sending out your orders and rocking out in my own band soon.
I've always had a blog, I just don't want to call it that. Blog is a lame word for it. However, I'm going to try to write more short articles in the style of a blog and make the interface to the "zine" more blog-like. If you want a real blog, here's one I made recently: What Cats Like. Enjoy.
I spent the fall living in Budapest. Read about it here: BP Blog
Earn It Yourself! There's a new website in town, that I've made with some friends. It has some of the features of this site (calendar, articles) combined with parts of BYOFL (band listings) plus some new really cool features, includeing a show trade tool that I think is one of the only ones out there meant to connect underground bands with one another. Check out the Beta site! EarnItYourself.com

The Unit Breed
Lost Eyes CD / DVD
Lost Eyes is a double disc CD / DVD extravaganza. This is the 5th album by The Unit Breed, and it showcases the bizarre brilliance of the band. "Lost Eyes" is 55 minutes of unsettling, dark music. The DVD contains a movie version of the CD. It's a work of unacknowledged genius, and has moments reminiscent of Sonic Youth or Fugazi, but remains unique and uncategorizable.

Trabant
Young, Reckless and Debonaire
Stripped down punk rock, conceived and recorded in the dark crannies of rural exile. Fast, cheap and out of control. The CD comes with videos and a diy guide to making CDs.

Space Robot Scientists - we've got a time machine
Over the years music reviewers have gone to countless lengths to find comparisons to Space Robot Scientists and have always come up short handed. Yeah while theyve gotten some of the influences right such Public Image Limited, Wire, Devo and Atom and His Package it just doesnt really do this unique trio justice. On the sophomore effort from Space Robot Scientists there are sounds that revel in the angular noisy post punk while others mingle in a electro-Clash dance music playground.

the Girls - s/t
More stiv-bators meets the briefs from the Girls, who are all boys. That little fact is about as disappointing as learning that the little girls were all boys, but the music isn't. There's a little of the Cars' swagger in this.

Motorama - supercustomspecial
Those crazy canadians. This is brash, hyper, spastic music that reminds me of Nomeansno and the Jesus Lizard, among other things. They look like bad seed hicks that got into the moonshine, and they play like them too. Check out the mp3.
